A SCHEME FOR A CONSISTENT APPROXIMATION OF CONVECTIVE FLOWS IN THE LEGAK PROCEDURE

      We consider some issues related to convective pulse flow approximations in a difference scheme of the LEGAK procedure designed for computing 2-D gas dynamics flows in a nonhomogeneous medium using a concentration method and Lagrangian - Eulerian variables. A two - layer scheme is described to implement convective pulse mass approximation.
      The scheme conservatism is analyzed. A higher accuracy obtained with a new scheme is illustrated by solving a number of 1-D problems.
