ISOTHERMAL COLLAPSE OF A HOMOGENEOUS GAS BALL WITH SELF-GRAVITATION

E. G. Glinskikh
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 9-12.

1-D isothermal spherical symmetry gas flows taking into accout Newton gravity forces are considered. For flows where the velocity is linearly dependent upon radii, an exact solution is obtained assuming that the isothermal sound speed is a power function of time. For this solution, densities and pressures do not depend on radii and the particle motion is a breakup to infinity, or focusing to the symmetry center, or periodic pulsations. Conservative difference schemes are analyzed based on the full .conservatism law; kinetic and gravitational energy balance is checked. Disbalance occurence is due to the time step and leads to the solution perturbation which is confirmed by a comparison of numerical solutions with an exact one. The numerical solution obtained using a difference scheme where the equations are made consistent in such a manner that kinetic and gravitational energies are balanced agree well with the exact one.

APPLYING A FINITE-ELEMENT METHOD TO SOLVE A KINETIC EQUATION EIGENVALUE PROBLEM FOR A SPHERE

A. I. Prokofiev
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 13-18.

Using a finite-element method to solve a neutron transport eguation eigenvalue prblem in a spherical symmetry case is described. The finite-element method application to a phase space is considered along with the solution approximation over an angular variable by the spherical harmonic method while using the finite- -element method for a spatial variable. A resulting system of algebraic eguations is solved by a block relaxation technigue. Numerical calculations are carried out to estimate the method performance, a comparison is made with the results obtained by other methods.

A COALITION STRUCTURE DYNAMICS AND GAME IMPORTANCE

E. R. Domilovsky
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 19-20.

The paper considers a finite cooperative game coalition structure defined by a fixed coalition pair merging probability, K(q,n), for a time unit, one of them containing g and the other i players and also by a q+n coalition separation probability, L(q,n), for a time unit, g and n being the number of players in each pair. It is shown that for К and L related by and for associated ergodic Markov process the limiting contribution of an i-player to his coalition when averaged over a stationary measure on a coalition structure set coincides with the Shapley vector i-component.

NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF A SHOCK WAVE WITH AN INFINITE MACH MUMBER IN A COLLISIONLESS MAGNETIC PLASMA

V. P. Washurin, S. F. Garanin, A. I. Golubev
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 21-28.

A shock wave in collisionless magnetic plasma is investigated for the case of infinitely large Alfven-Mach numbers. The Larmor ions motion is assumed to play the main role in a shock wave generation. A plasma computer model is formulated where the distribution function evolution problem is reduced to that of "liguid thread" motion in phase space. Numerical results are disucssed.

A TECHNIGUE FOR CALCULATING TWO-TEMPERATURE RADIATING GAS MOTION (SND)

G. V. Dolgoleva
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 29-33.

A system of differential equations is given which served as a base for the SND technigue calculating two-temperature gas motion in terms of physical viscosity, electron and ion heat conduction, spectral radiation nature, laser energy absorption and transfer, and thermonuclear reaction kinetics. A numerical method is presented. Several difference schemes are proposed.

Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 34-37.

A physical model implemented within a standard DIANA version designed to solve laser fusion problems is described. The paper presents equations of state (including cold pressure and ionization), ion-electron energy transfer rates, and heat conductivities (in terms of degeneration), the calculation of the brems- strahlung and that of laser and fusion reaction light absorption. This program is a part of the SAFRA application package functional facilities and is developed for common use.

A. A. Samarsky , S. A. Gaifullin, A. V. Zakharov, N. V. Zmitrenko, V. Ya. Karpov, A. P. Mikhailov, T. V. Mishchenko
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1983. No 2. P. 38-42.

The DIANA program is described which was designed to solve 1-D gas dynamics eguations with heat conduction in Lagrangian coordinates in terms of different physical effects for plane, cylinder, and spherical geometry. The program is oriented to laser fusion problems. This is a part of the SAFRA application package facilities. The program is written in FORTRAN based on the OLYMPUS system and is intented to a variety of users.
