ON FULL CONSERVATISM OF DIFFERENCE CONSERVATION LAWS

V. F. Kuropatenko
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 3-5.

Integral and local conservatism conditions for dif- ferece mass, momentum, and energy conservation laws are formulated. Difference equations are written in a differential form to examine their properties. Dif-ferece equation conversion theorem is proved. An equation for producing divergent and nondivergent difference equation entropy is derived.

ANALYTIC SOLUTION OF A 2-D ACOUSTIC PROBLEM

O. M. Kozyrev
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 6-10.

A generalized initial value problem for a system of acoustic equations in a 2-D case is examined. Using the generalized function theory some issues related to the solution existence and uniqueness are considered and the solution itself is derived.
The initial value problem solution is derived in the form of a fundamental solution convolution with initial data. A fundamental solution for a system of acoustic equations is found by generalized function Fourier transformation. A 2-D problem with piecewise constant initial data which has a set of discontinuities corresponding to the rays originating at a single point is analyzed. Near the ray intersections the problem solution takes the form of finite analytic expressions.

N. F. Gavrilov, G. G. Ivanova, V. I. Selin, V. N. Sofronov
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 11-14.

An UP-OK modules "bundle" representing an operational program for solving continuum mechanics problems within the 1-D Complex is described. The programs allow taking into account physical processes such as heat conduction, elastic/plastic deformation corresponding to Prandtle-Reuss plastic flow, and continuum destruction.

S. M .Bakhrakh, G. V. Zharova, V. F. Spiridonov
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 15-21.

An explicit fully conservative difference scheme for calculating 2-D time-dependent axisymmetric flows in Lagrange coordinates is described. Some difficulties associated with developing fully conservative schemes for an axisymmetric case are discussed. The second part of the paper examines an explicit/implicit version of the explicit scheme derived. The difference schemes proposed are shown, for several classes of problems, to substantially reduce the computations, required to achieve a desired accuracy.

A POINT BURST IN AN ELASTIC SEMI SPACE

O. V. Buryakov, V. F. Kuropatenko, N. I. Shishkin
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 22-31.

An exact problem solution for elastic semispace stresses generated by a point burst is given. The stress components are expressed in the form of quadratures simplifying their calculation. The calculation results are illustrated by plots showing stress variation with time at different medium points and their space distribution for different times. The stress field obtained is used to define region configurations for potential soil destruction due to a contained explos ion.

VISCOSITY-DRIVEN DISTRIBUTION OF THE KINETIC-TO-THERMAL ENERGY DISSIPATION THROUGH A SPHERICAL SHELL THICKNESS

A. A. Sadovoy, N. M.Chulkov
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 32-37.

Closed quadratic expressions for kinetic energy, velocity, and R-t diagram defining an inertial finite-thickness shell collapse are obtained. These formulae describing the full dissipated energy distribution across a shell thickness for a time where the shell converges on a given radius indicate a thermal energy cumulation in layers, close to the internal shell surface. A possibility of viscosity coefficient experimental measurements is discussed. Numerical results are represented by a set of universal curves which allow qualitatively study the nature of the shell motion depending on its physical and geometrical parameters.

USING A SELF-CONSISTENT FIELD METHOD TO CALCULATE THERMODYNAMIC ELECTRON FUNCTIONS FOR SIMPLE MATERIALS

G. V. Sinko
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 38-46.

The problem for deriving an electron equation-of-state in a given material by a self-consistent field method is considered. Thermodynamic consistency of expressions for energy, entropy, and pressure in Hartree-Fock approximation is shown. A local exchange approximation (Hartree-Fock-Slater approximation) is introduced on step-by-step basis, along with the expressions consistency for thermodynamic functions in this approximation. A relatively simple method for calculating thermodynamic electron functions in an arbitrary temperature and density material is proposed.

COMPUTER-AIDED OPTIMAL PLANNING FOR ALLOCATION OF MATERIAL RESOURCES

G. G. Solovyov
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 47-49.

The paper describes a material resouce allocation computer model comprising procedures allowing to define consumer year funds, to attach consumers to desired suppliers, to organize supply activities according to given periods with supply types selection and funds sizing specification. The programs which implement our model allow an optimal resource allocation planning.

V. S. Avramenko, L. M. Zuyeva, G. K. Kulikova, V. P. Pokrovsky, ?. I. Feodoritova, O. A. Frolova, N. N. Chizhova
Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 50-52.

The MODIS application package permits to implement an information retrieval system that , in terms of its information service method, is referred to as an information reference system, a selective information distribution system, or both. A major advantage is that the same program complex is used to support independent databases, each having its own documentation, which allows to substantially update the system with external data supplied on magnetic media.

Vant. Ser. Metodiki i Programmy Chislennogo Resheniya Zadach Matematicheskoy Fiziki. 1982. No 3. P. 58-66.

A method for developing databases of a special purpose information reference system dealing with quality aspects when designing radioelectronic devices is proposed. The method proposed is based on failed product models incorporated into the database. The method provides an integrated information base created using the results of product failure analysis during prototyping, manufacturing, and operation.
The paper determines whether a situational approach is adequate and useful for designing databases in such systems.
