ARCHITECTURE MODEL OF A SCIENTIFIC COLLECTIVE BODY

A role of a scientific collective body architecture and its effect on the efficiency of collective body work are studied with the use of computer simulation. Each scientist is characterized by two parameters: a volume of his professional knowledge and a rate of its increase. A volume of professional knowledge increases either through individual work of a scientist or through his contacts with colleagues. It is shown, that if a chief of a collective has managed to arrange a friendly creative atmosphere stimulating scientists to exchange their knowledge, then a volume of a collective knowledge may increase faster, than that of the most talented scientist, working individually. It is natural, that a rate of accumulating collective knowledge depends on both a collective body size and its architecture.
Under the assumption that the scientists are equally talented several cases are treated, when some scientists help the chief to evolve an official theory and some of them deal with a theory, negating an official one.
